Our Live M1 MAB webinar is a comprehensive 4-hour workplace violence prevention course that equips you with the knowledge and skills you need to prevent and deescalate potentially assaultive behavior in the workplace. In this course, you’ll learn about situational assessment, types of awareness, risk management, and the 10 MABPRO Crisis Response Principles.
During the webinar, you’ll learn how to effectively communicate and work with others to prevent and deescalate volatile situations. We’ll also teach you about proxemics, or the study of how people use space in relation to each other, and avenues of approach, which refers to the paths or routes that individuals can take to reach a particular location. These concepts can help you anticipate potential risks.
In addition to these topics, we’ll also cover the importance of nonverbal communication and active listening in managing assaultive behavior. By understanding and interpreting nonverbal cues and actively listening to others, you’ll be better equipped to defuse volatile situations.
We’ll also teach you about fundamental reasons why people lose control and how to identify and present options for deescalating these situations.
